PRECIOSA Rocailles sind die am häufigsten verwendeten Glasrocailles. Sie wurden im 15. Jahrhundert in Venedig, Italien, hergestellt. Diese Perlen werden seit dem 18. Jahrhundert in Böhmen industriell hergestellt.

Diese runden Rocailles werden mit einer einzigartigen Technologie zum Schneiden von Glasrohren mit runden oder quadratischen Löchern in verschieden große Stücke hergestellt, die dann im heißen Zustand gerundet und poliert und anschließend nach Größe und Form klassifiziert werden.

Die PRECIOSA Rocailles werden in Größen von 1,5 mm bis 8 mm hergestellt und die Größen der tschechischen PRECIOSA Rocailles werden anhand der traditionellen sogenannten Nullserie angegeben. Die regulären Größen reichen von der kleinsten 16/0 bis zur größten 1/0, die hier aufgeführten Perlen sind 6/0.
